Alyssa Lee Standen is an American writer and director based in Cleveland, OH (but she can't stand the snow and thinks about moving to the beach often).
For six years she worked in production offices for films and commercials alike. Among some of her credits are Queen + Slim (Universal Pictures), White Noise (Netflix), Shooting Stars (NBC Universal), Slowburn Shoot (Substance), and Blade (Disney/Marvel Studios).

Her senior capstone film Forgive Me (2019) won a BEA Award of Excellence, Best Ohio Film nomination at Nightmare Film Fest, and received distribution with Bloody Disgusting as part of their World of Death: Bloody Bites short film program.
Her short film Trashy (2025) received multiple selections and awards with Arizona International Film Festival, River Bend, Shorted, IndieX, Renegade Film Fest and Chicago Women Film Festival. She is currently developing a drama feature Playground, which is a feature-length expansion of Trashy.
